Without a Single Book in a Single Bookstore…

“The Chaos Scenario” has already sold 1200 copies via Amazon, Amazon Kindle and TheChaosScenario.net (i.e., right here.)

Books have just been delivered in the past few days. We are confident that readers will share their reactions across every channel of social media, not to mention literal word of mouth. At this writing, there are only three reviews on Amazon.com, and one is from my eldest daughter. We expect that to change very soon.

By a week from now, people will be able at least to order the paper book at brick-and-mortar bookstores. By mid-September, books should be in stock in hundreds of stores — chain and indie — across the country.

We can’t be sure this enterprise will succeed (even if we sell a lot of books, if this website doesn’t become a global hub for discussion, information and community on all things Chaos, we will have failed.)

But, holy mackeral — so far, so good.

I just bought an iPhone Kindle version of The Chaos Scenario. This was the first book that I have purchased in the iPhone Kindle format and, I must say, it has been a pleasant experience all around.

I read the first two Chapters on this site and was compelled to purchase the book. I don’t have much disposable income either. It was quite a new media experience. I hope the book lives up to the excitement that surrounds it.

Way to go Bob. Good luck on sales in the coming weeks and months. I’m excited to see how the festivities play out through tht month of October. It should be interesting.

I have been trying to buy you book via amazon for the kindle (iPhone version). Until now this has not been possible for me - is this because I am not located in the US and when can I expect this to change?

Excellent question. I was not aware that Amazon doesn’t sell Kindle downloads abroad.
I’ll look into it. Meantime, feel free to order the dead-tree version directly from TheChaosScenario.net

Hi Bob

Is it just me or does it seem to be a bit difficult for us foreigners to get a hold of your new book

Please take this as a sign that I am very interested in getting a more in depth view (have already downloaded the two chapters).

It seems that only us citizens can buy the book at TheChaosScenario.net - so i guess the dead-tree version is not a possibility yet? Or am I terribly mistaken?
